ABOUT meg

Meg grew up in Connecticut and when she wasn’t busy pretending to be a mom, she was in the kitchen learning family recipes. She won over her husband, Alan, whom she met her freshman year at Stanford, with some very fancy homecooked meals. After working in finance and strategy for Gap and NBC-Universal, Meg returned to Stanford where she earned her MBA. Now with three kids of her own (Avery, 5; Brooks, 4 and Ryder 1), Meg’s husband doesn’t see too many of those fancy meals. But her kids eat very well! She believes good food is all it takes to make a friend, and she is grateful for all the friends she has made through her videos.

  1. Look how adventurous Avery is now, trying the goji berry! She's growing up beautifully, as are all the kiddos of WUM's. Congrats on the newest addition Brooke! I'm sure you'll be back to making baby food for Calvin and this delicious smoothie for yourself. It must have been a wonderful holiday break for everyone, you're all looking wonderful. xoxo Rachel.

  2. All western diets including all vegan diets have enough protein. Even vegetarians get 27% more protein then they need. Recently new scientists hypothesized that the reason why vegans and people who fast both have superior health outcomes compared to the general population because both groups may be get less protein then the average western diet. I think you should definitilty encourage foods that have a high nutritional density for your children but I wouldnt encourage protein.

  3. Sorry if you already answered but what blender did you use and do you have a cheap suggestion? I have a kitchen aid which is old but was around $100 new and just doesn't cut it with ice or some of the frozen fruits like banana and strawberry…
