INGREDIENTS
• 1 good quality dark chocolate bar (6oz), chopped
• 1 good quality white chocolate bar (6oz), chopped
• 4 tsp coconut oil (refined or unrefined)
• ¼ tsp peppermint extract
• 2-3 crushed candy canes

DIRECTIONS
1. In a double boiler, add the dark chocolate and 2 teaspoons of coconut oil. With a silicone spatula, stir constantly until melted.
2. Remove from the stove and use a spoon to pour melted chocolate into silicone molds. You can fill as much as you like, but you don’t want too much or your treat will be too thick to eat. Tilt to get into edge and rap on counter to remove air bubbles.
3. Put in your freezer for about 8-10 minutes until it’s almost completely set (so the dark and white chocolates don’t mix), but not quite so the layers don’t separate.
4. Add the white chocolate and 2 teaspoons coconut oil to the double boiler. Melt over a VERY low simmer, stirring constantly. Remove from the heat if it starts to scald along the edge.
5. Remove from the heat and add the peppermint extract.
6. Remove the molds from the freezer and pour white chocolate unto the dark chocolate. Sprinkle with candy canes.
7. Place in refrigerator to fully set and store.

ABOUT meg

Meg grew up in Connecticut and when she wasn’t busy pretending to be a mom, she was in the kitchen learning family recipes. She won over her husband, Alan, whom she met her freshman year at Stanford, with some very fancy homecooked meals. After working in finance and strategy for Gap and NBC-Universal, Meg returned to Stanford where she earned her MBA. Now with three kids of her own (Avery, 5; Brooks, 4 and Ryder 1), Meg’s husband doesn’t see too many of those fancy meals. But her kids eat very well! She believes good food is all it takes to make a friend, and she is grateful for all the friends she has made through her videos.
